POEARTRY
MICKEY
we robbed banks in our child- like minds,
but with great regret, i left you behind,
i would grow up,
and you would stay the same,
your beauty was that your
innocence remained,
you were the greatest dancer in the hall,
the first one up & the last to fall,
like the full monty, you liked to strip,
the ladies swooned to your rocking hips,
if the world was filled
with angels of your kind,
a dark soul would be hard to find,
no greed no lies, an existence
of genuine worth,
a heaven borne of you
would thrive on earth,
the only funeral at which i cried,
to read your sisters words, i really tried,
a slow cruel disease, that took you away,
your life's memory upon my
heart will forever lay,
all goodness in life, was in you contained,
so much from you
i could have ascertained,
one day, when fate closes down
upon me life's door
i'll seek you out to rob a bank once more.
